Located in the Pinar del Rio province of Cuba, the humble people of Viñales is a small town with wonderful treasures. Viñales is mainly based on agriculture and fishing for
their livelihood. During 2010, the population of Viñales was only 27,129 and is increasing at a very slow pace.

The Viñales Valley is the resort in the town of Viñales. Tourists who come here are mostly the more adventurous. The valley is the perfect place for hiking, climbing and cycling. The wooded hills of the valley are very impressive. These are the humps that take the appearance of the islands at the base of the valley. The Viñales Valley is home to a large number of endemic flora and fauna. The popular bee hummingbird is one of the rare animals to have a look during your trip to Valle de Viñales.
Since 1999, the Viñales Valley was included in the UNESCO World Heritage. Because of its cultural wealth, natural beauty and rich history, which has been designated a cultural landscape.
Viñales houses are simple wooden structures, however, offer a beautiful spectacle for tourists. The Slippery is a good place to take a dip after long hours of hiking or rock climbing.
This hidden spring is well known by the locals. This small town also has its fair share of historical monuments. When you visit Vinales, be sure to take a look at the command post of Che Guevara during the revolution.
