Turks and Caicos Islands consist of 40 different islands and cays, only 8 of which are inhabited. The islands of Turks and Caicos are almost as diverse as its people. From the main calm and tranquil resort island Providenciales North and Central Caicos Islands with historical capital of Grand Turk island, each offering a different experience and a unique character to enjoy throughout the year as Turks and Caicos Islands offer great weather, beaches and underwater activities.

The only true way to experience the Turks and Caicos Islands is to visit each island with plenty of time. This is probably the reason most visitors come back to the Turks and Caicos because they are eager to visit more places and even wanting to stay and live forever in Turks and Caicos Islands. Most islands are located from each other at only 10 to 25 minutes by air from Provo and most Turks and Caicos Islands can be reached by boat, too. At the same time there are regular ferries from North Caicos islands Central.

Providenciales is the most popular of the Turks and Caicos Islands and is the center of the tourism industry with a wide range of hotels, restaurants, attractions and facilities. Grand Turk and Salt Cay offer a good look at the history of the Caribbean with the great architecture of Bermuda and rustic charm as well as some of the best diving and probably the world’s most beautiful beaches. Grand Turk is also home of a new cruise.

North Caicos and Middle Caicos represent the best of the environment, with lush green forests. The largest network of caves in the Caribbean is located on Middle Caicos, where you can also visit flamingo ponds and a wide range of plants and birds. North Caicos is also an emerging tourist destination with several new projects under development.

South Caicos is the center for fishing, and lobster and conch are exported from these islands. In the historic port of Cockburn can see the natural phenomenon of the hole with boiling water seething. This island is small but very nice and has many beaches with stunning views of the turquoise waters and surrounding islands.

Parrot Cay and Pine Cay are privately owned islands are home to the most exclusive resorts Parrot Cay Resort & Spa and the Meridian Club.

There is also ongoing development in the islands that were previously uninhabited West Caicos (be the future home of a Ritz Carlton hotel), and Ambergris Caye (be a site Sporting Club), and Dellis Cay (in a complex that will be implemented by the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group).
